Cuba Gooding Jr., Dennis Hopper, Tiffany Thiessan, Cybill Sheperd
Directed by David Lynch. Hopper is a psychologist and Thiessan is his newest patient. She’s been traumatized to the point of disconnected Nihilism. She calmly divulges her horrific past, which frequently involve a man named Milo, played by Gooding Jr. Although he thinks she is lying, Hopper becomes obsessed (and often aroused by the violent and sexual details) with Thiessan’s story, and decides to investigate her life in secret. He quickly gets involved in a dark and dangerous underworld he didn’t know existed. Sheperd is a maniacal madame who works for Cuba, and the is also one who introduced Tiffany, and then Hopper, to the terrifying sub-society.
Critical Review: “Lynch again skillfully frightens and perplexes his viewers, who will undoubtedly be squirming on the edge of their seats.”
